I came to Nick in need of help to overcome a porn and masturbation addiction. I had been in this addiction for about fifteen years but became more extreme in the last few years as I was in leadership at church. I have had the pleasure of knowing Nick for 14 years. We first met while working in the healthcare field and I was just coming to faith. I told him about my new faith and how I was struggling with questions, both theological and philosophical, and wondering how they would shape my life. For the next few years, on an almost daily basis I would come to him with questions about the gospel, my life, and how a believer should live in the world. The most important thing for me was that Nick always came with biblical answers. If he didn’t know how to answer a question I had, he would spend the night looking to Scripture to find the answer and the next day, he would tell me what he found. I found great respect for a man that didn’t seek to simply tell me what I wanted to hear but to told me hard truths and called me to repentance if I was walking in sin.
